Looking back on the 7th WoodWisdom-Net Research Programme Seminar
Featuring short talks on 23 ongoing international research projects as well as important contributions from higher education institutions, industry and federal and cantonal offices, the seminar on 14/15 September 2015 addressed a host of new topics and insights for the forest/wood value chain.
The public seminar half way through the 4th transnational call issued by WoodWisdom-Net took place at the EMPA Academy in Dübendorf. WoodWisdom-Net and the Swiss Wood Innovation Network (S-WIN) jointly organised the scientific exchanges between international experts. The goal set for the event was to coordinate international research activities in materials technology, structural design, wood physics and chemistry, and product development. Alongside numerous participants from academia, industry and NGOs, representatives of the Federal Office for the Environment, the Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI) and NRP 66 "Resource Wood" took part in the event.
