The second training course of Swiss Wood Innovation Network (S-WIN), organised in cooperation with federlegno.ch at the Accademia di architettura in Mendrisio, showed that timber buildings are also offering convincing solutions for service companies, offices and schools. The course focused on buildings in Ticino and academic research on timber construction.

More than 120 experts working for companies or architecture and engineering firms took part in the second S-WIN training course in Mendrisio. An exhibition was held on the occasion of the course. By organising courses in Weinfelden, Yverdon and now Mendrisio, S-WIN covers the major linguistic areas of Switzerland and is exemplary in transferring science-based knowledge in the area of timber construction.
